Thank You IEC San Antonio
Over the course of the past decade Hill Electric has been a proud partner, contractor, and advocate of
the Independent Electrical Contractors of San Antonio. This organization has been vital, not only to the
apprentices who have benefited from the education, but to our companies success as a whole.
In 2017 alone, over 15 of our apprentices will attend class at the IEC as first, second, third, and fourth
year apprentices. This does not include the many other electricians who will benefit from Journeyman
and Master prep courses, motor controls, foreman training, and various other trade specific training
classes offered by the IEC this year. In regards to the instructors, curriculum, and professionalism in
which these classes are held, very impressive to say the least.
As a contractor I rely on the resources provided by IECSA to keep me informed as to any new code
changes, TDLR requirements, city, state, and national regulations, and any other information specific to
our industry. They continue to aggressively promote open competition and lobby for merit shop
contractors at every level.
With over 45 contractors in the area, IECSA is one of the leading chapters in the nation. They have
won numerous awards for their excellence in the industry and have been recognized on a national level
many times. If you are an electrical contractor looking to join a professional association that advocates
quality craftsmanship, education, and free enterprise, then IEC of San Antonio would be a great partner.
Hill Electric thanks the IEC for their tireless dedication to our industry and looks forward to fostering
our relationship with them for many years to come.

I feel being involved in the IEC has had a positive effect on me for the following reasons:
1. I am able to educate my electricians.
2. I stay involved in the city, state, and national issues that pertain to our business.
3. Networking with fellow IEC members provide me with a positive learning experience.

Circle Electric Co., Inc.
Being a member of IEC of San Antonio is an important part of our daily business, it’s a win win situation for both parties. The IEC of San Antonio is a benefit to us as a contractor and to our student apprentices. They educate our apprentices on a wide range of electrical skills, electrical theory, electrical codes, the “how to” of electrical installations, 1st Aid and CPR. They offer classes to help some of our apprentices / helpers make the next step as a journeyman. They offer quarterly “lunch and learn” luncheons to help us get caught up on the latest products that will help us in the electrical industry and any upcoming issues that we may need to take action on.
